Rosey, was a rescue. She was very il when we got her, and wasn't sure if she would make it. She had a severe respitory infection, and was swollen severely from toxic levels of salt in her system.She was left for days at a time in the dark, without water or food, and bags of salted peanuts were thrown in her cage. It has been 2years now, and Rosey is doing very well. She eats Pretty Bird pellet, and lots of pasta, fruits, nuts and veggys. She is blind in one eye, and so she is head shy, but other than that, you would never know she had been abused. She will step up easily, and can be petted if you put her in your lap. I have watched movies with her laying in my lap, while I rubbed her head. She is ready to find a forever home, so that I can help another bird in need.
Her fee is $500. which doesn't cover half of what it cost to save her, and I don't get any funding, just something Im passionate about. She loves other macaws so would make a great companion for another macaw. If you would like a lifelong friend then this is your gal
